On 25 March 2009, two walkers in Saint-Remèze spotted a large white sphere moving at low altitude before disappearing behind the Dent de Rez ridge. One witness later clarified in a letter that the photograph actually showed a signal ball, though they insisted they had seen something different. The witness themselves suspected it might have been Venus, which was near the horizon that day. Without precise movement measurements, it is impossible to confirm whether the sighting was astronomical or something else. GEIPAN classified the case as C.
