In 1980, the Chinese scientific magazine Kexue Shidai published several eyewitness accounts of UFO sightings that occurred between 1943 and 1979. These reports, submitted by ordinary citizens, describe unidentified flying objects with disc-like shapes, unusual light emissions, and erratic movements. One account from 1943 describes an object interpreted as a new Japanese weapon. Other reports, such as one from a student in 1977, describe luminous objects moving slowly or at moderate speed, without making noise.
The accounts, though varied, share common elements: round shapes, bright colors, and inexplicable aerial behaviors. Some observers even took detailed notes, like a student who recorded the exact direction and time of a sighting. Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, these descriptions reflect genuine curiosity about the unknown. The publication of these accounts in a scientific journal suggests an official interest in collecting information, although without issuing definitive conclusions.
