Summary

In August 1955, near the Ayuta mines, three unidentified flying objects were observed. The sightings occurred on a clear, starry night, at different times between 22:45 and 23:45. The objects moved from southeast to north at an unknown altitude. One of the witnesses, an officer named Feld Cosent, recorded details of the phenomenon, including the lack of noise and a reddish glow similar to a planet. Despite the observations, no explosions or clear sounds were reported that could help identify the nature of the objects.

The CIA evaluated these reports and considered several possibilities, from rockets to atmospheric phenomena. However, no definitive conclusion was reached. Witnesses agreed the objects did not appear to be conventional aircraft or meteors. This documentation, though partially illegible, shows how Soviet authorities tried to understand these events, without ruling out the possibility of an unknown origin.
