Summary

In September 1973, a Mirage III-DE from the 11th Wing of the Spanish Air Force reported a strange light in the sky over Valencia. The pilots, during a night mission, observed a bright light to their left that appeared to be moving toward them. As they approached, they noticed the object descending alongside them, maintaining a lateral distance of about 4 kilometers. Upon contacting ground control, no radar echo was detected, although a later parasitic echo was observed before it disappeared. The report concluded that it could have been Venus, whose position matched the observation. Despite uncertainties, no elements were found to justify classifying the phenomenon as unexplained.
