In 1953, the U.S. Department of Defense received a report on the official Indonesian Air Force magazine, "AKOLASA," which included articles on UFO sightings. An officer noted that UFO reports might be related to meteors or atmospheric phenomena. Sightings were frequent, but their authenticity was hard to confirm. The articles analyzed possible explanations, from optical illusions to unknown objects. The magazine also emphasized the need for rigorous investigation, as some testimonies seemed exaggerated or even false. The report concluded that while the existence of unidentified objects could not be ruled out, it was crucial to maintain a critical and scientific approach.
