In March 1980, several UFO sightings were reported in Zaragoza, leading to an official Air Force report. The testimonies included observations of a bright object shaped like a citrus squeezer, seen for half an hour by a group of people, and radar echoes on the GCA (Ground Controlled Approach) screen that could not be identified. The reports contain contradictions in dates and descriptions, making a clear interpretation difficult. Despite investigations, the nature of the observed objects could not be determined, and the file was declassified in 1995.
The testimonies from witnesses, including an air traffic controller, add mystery to the case. While one described a stationary and bright object, another reported moving echoes. The weather conditions were favorable for observation, and no conventional explanations such as planes or helicopters were found. The case reflects the complexity of UFO sightings, where the lack of clear data and inconsistencies between testimonies make any definitive conclusion difficult.
