🇧🇷 Fuerza Aérea (Operação Prato)
In January 1995, residents of Vila Operária in Assis, São Paulo, reported a UFO that remained visible for almost an hour. The first to notice it was six-year-old Natália, who pointed out a "beautiful star" in the sky. Soon, other neighbors confirmed the presence of a luminous object that did not move like an airplane or resemble a balloon. A bank worker, Jane Vieira, managed to film it with her video camera, and the object showed changes in shape and color when focused. The phenomenon caused unease among observers, some of whom closed their doors and windows. The UFO disappeared momentarily, only to reappear in another part of the sky, prompting locals to seek explanations. The case was later published in local media and generated interest among Brazilian researchers and ufologists.
The incident was also observed in other parts of the city and at the local airport, where a security guard confirmed seeing a yellow light moving slowly. Despite initial doubts, witnesses agreed the object was unconventional. The case became a topic of public discussion and was presented on television programs, highlighting the need for a more structured investigation of UFOs in Brazil.
