On the night of May 8, 1980, a resident of Buxy (Saône-et-Loire) was alerted by the unusual behavior of his dogs. Looking skyward, he saw an object resembling a large spinning top moving from north to south while rotating on its axis, glowing red-orange inside. Two other people independently witnessed the phenomenon and noticed their televisions lost picture, replaced by static. Despite these electromagnetic effects and three consistent testimonies, no further reports were filed. The case remains unexplained.
