Summary

At 18:30 on 25 January 2009, a resident of Saint-Félix in Haute-Savoie spotted a very bright light moving at high speed along an irregular trajectory. The phenomenon lasted only a few seconds. GEIPAN investigators concluded it was most likely a meteorite entering the atmosphere, an explanation consistent with the intense brightness and brief duration. The case was classified B.
